In the 1950's, Louis was joined by his sons Maurice and Charles and the company began establishing its unparalleled reputation for innovative outerwear and rainwear geared specifically to law enforcement and public safety professionals. With early innovations such as the first hi-vis raincoat, the first reversible raincoat, and the first nylon duty jacket for law enforcement, Blauer was able to establish itself as the industry's innovation and quality leader. This reputation continues today with Charles's children Michael, Stephen, Bill, and Sharyn actively running the company with the goal of producing the most protective uniform apparel available for everyday use.
